Parahitam takes lead in a cleanup drive for a clean Bengaluru.
In preparation of Swachh Bharath, as a prelude to New Year, Parahitam with the support of BBMP and localites, initiated a cleanliness & beautification drive at the BCC layout bus bay on 31-12-2023. This initiative actively involved removal of garbage near the bus bay, repairing the damaged wall and painting the wall to create an awareness about the waste disposal among the public.
Few people were found littering near the wall which made the place untidy and uncomfortable for the people. Hence the public were demanding a permanent solution to this problem. Though the BBMP took several actions by imposing fines, they were unable to control the garbage disposal. Hence Parahitam Foundation joined hands with them and conducted a cleanliness drive to clean up & beautify the area around the bus bay.
The activities included cleaning up domestic and animal meat garbage by BBMP, repairing & painting the wall by Parahitam. Around 15 volunteers actively participated in the event.
Our aim was to create a cleaner and more sustainable environment , and it starts with every citizen’s contribution. Together, we can make a significant impact by raising awareness about responsible waste disposal and keeping clean.

“The garbage point created a problem to all of us since 2 to 3 years. People from other areas were also found throwing up meat waste causing a foul smell resulted in breathing problems.
