Playway learning

Children innately are attracted to creative expressions and activities. Enabling them to paint and draw instill them the willingness to learn independently and explore their love of color. It also creates a memorable experience that keeps children more proactive. A playful environment lets children be imaginative and perspective.

Sunday Art Class

We the volunteers of Parahitam are enthusiastic to teach children and the reason is they enjoy teaching so much because the kids show that same enthusiasm while learning.

We along with children decorated bird feeders and water containers. The kids painted the containers enthusiastically and took responsibility of refilling the feeders and containers to help birds cool off in this scorching weather.

Children drew their favorite pictures, colored them joyfully, had a fun session and enjoyed them thoroughly.

Sunday-Funday

Kids simply love playing games. Children have an incredible time playing games and enjoy them a lot. Playing, often provides a training ground from which a child learns to develop skills.

We played a lot of indoor and outdoor games along with children. We made them play a traditional game called “Nadi-Dada” which improves their listening skills as well as spontaneity in actions. Teaching indoor games like ludo and playing along with them was so much fun. We celebrated Sport’s Day by teaching new games and playing familiar games had made them energetic! Not to forget, inspiring tales of sports achievers were also narrated. They had a fun packed day overall.

Ramayana Narration

One monk said to Paramahamsa Yogananda,”Devotion, that’s the main thing, isn’t it Master?” Yogananda surprised him by saying,”It’s the only thing”. Devotion is a vital component for success in any field.

We, the Parahitam volunteers taught children the importance of prayer. No matter how hectic life may get, nothing could help us more than taking some time to thank God for what He’s done.

We started with reciting a shloka of lord Ganesha who is the supreme of wisdom. Narrated moral stories which help them in building ethics and value that aid in developing the spirit of righteousness and teach them life-lessons.

On the occasion of Rama Navami, we narrated the story of Ramayana. The glorious history and the eternal values of our Nation need to be instilled in children’s mind. Children were attentive and fascinated by the story.
