Independence Day 2022

Independence Day is one of the most important days in India, and this year we celebrated 75th Independence Day on August 15th. The day is celebrated to remember the struggle that the freedom fighters fought, to achieve the independence of our country. Patriotism brings in a sense of mutual respect and teaches this land as our home. Teaching patriotism to kids will inculcate the same feelings among them and they will start treating every Indian as family.

To observe Independence Day, Parahitam remembered the brave young men who gave up their lives to liberate India along with the young children at Satya Sai Trust. “Tales of Indian Freedom Struggle” were narrated. We selected some of the incredible freedom fighters and narrated their supreme struggle and endurance, which can have an enormous impact on children. The innocence and the actual gratitude towards “The Heroes” were evident in their silence.

Here’s saluting the indomitable spirit of Indian Freedom Fighters for their selfless sacrifice in layering down their precious lives for the sake of freedom.

Unsung Heroes

Our State Karnataka is a home to many unsung heroes who have contributed towards India’s Freedom Movement. Influenced and inspired by national leaders, Karnataka had visionary leaders who have struggled predominantly for freedom. Before /After the Quit India Movement, Karnataka also became aggressive and bought many men and women from various parts of the state.

Parahitam chose to tell their stories to the younger children at Satya Sai Trust. We shared stories of brave women warriors of Karnataka, who stood up for themselves and those around them and etched their names in the Indian history.

The children chose to stay quiet and observant while narrating. They were storehouses of talents but shy to showcase them in front of everyone. They were made into groups and asked to narrate the same story back to us. They were amazing, we could see their effort in catching up those lines.

It is a day to remember!
