Doctor’s Day

Doctors are considered as protectors, or we can say guardian angels. National Doctor’s Day is observed on 1st July every year in India to honor their contribution and noble work. This day is commemorated to show gratitude towards all the doctors who work 24/7, throughout the year to ensure our good health and safety.

When divinity awakens in man, he serves others.

On the occasion of Doctor’s Day, Parahitam volunteers planned on identifying the doctors who serve the people with less fees. We received a lot of responses from the public. Due to time and location constraints, we could visit only 3 of them –

They were Dr. Savitri, Dr. Venkatesh, Dr. Narasimha.

Dr. Savitri

We went to their homes with their prior permission and had good time conversing with them. It was really inspiring to listen how they continue to do their service despite of facing several hardships. We presented them a Kannada story book, a pen, handmade greeting card and a plant.

Dr. Venkatesh

Only a doctor has a magical wand to treat life with their touch and care, give a healthy life, and be there when all hopes are lost, and our life is at risk. Thank you, doctors, for helping us stay happy and healthy.

Happy Doctor’s Day!
