Ugadi is one of the famous festivals celebrated with great pomp and fanfare. It is considered as the New Year of the Kannada people .
This year Parahitam celebrated Ugadi with kids at an orphanage .Drawing inspiration from Swami Vivekananda’s words “They only live who live for others” , our service has grown bigger and bigger with volunteers joining hands .
We welcomed the “Shubakrit” with our children at a shelter home by donating them new clothes on this festival.
The children were happy on receiving the clothes .It was amazing to discover their great talents in singing , art and craft ,Yakshagana and many others. We had a happy and purposeful festival with them.
